Chart markup appointment
The markup appointment is a single chair at the side desk. You bring a printed run of daily bars, and the instructor will not name a pattern until you have written the open and the close yourself.

Who it is for
It is for a student who has a chart in progress — a SET name, a gold print, or a major pair — and who wants those specific bars read slowly. It is also the right hour for someone who is unsure whether the six-evening course is the right commitment.
In the seat fee
- Seventy-five minutes in the room
- Markup of twenty to thirty daily bars on the student’s paper
- A short list, written by the student, of bars that still need another look
Left with the student
- A fresh stack supplied by the academy beyond a spare pencil and ruler
- Recording of the hour
- Continuation into a second instrument in the same sitting
How the hour is spent
You write, then we look
The first bars are copied into the margin in your hand: open and close at least. Names wait.
We stop at the unclear bar
If a shape is ambiguous, it stays ambiguous on the sheet. The hour is for description, not for forcing a famous name onto a dull day.
You leave with your own paper
The print goes home with you. The academy does not keep a copy unless you ask us to hold it for a later class.
Before you come
Print twenty to thirty daily bars large enough to write in the margin. Note the instrument on the cover. Bring the pencil you like; the room has a spare.
Limits of the room
One student. Afternoons are Tuesday and Thursday, 14:00 to 17:00, except during the October desk course, when the long table is being laid for the evening and markup pauses. Book by phone or the enquiry form.
